Life is so horrible man

For last 3-4 years, I have been having Chai-Paratha breakfast from these Sardar Uncle-aunty’s shop.

On 22nd of May, I could see Sardarji visibly unwell. Shop was closed for more than a week. I got to know that Sardar uncle ji died of a heart attack that night.

Auntyji used to make Paratha, uncle made tea & used to pack parathas. Uncle would have hardly been 60.

Today I saw aunty making Paranthas again and their son was packing parathas and uncle’s portrait was hanging on wall.

Auntyji had a very happy-looking nature, used to call me “Varun” & I never corrected them.

Today, I couldn’t ask her to make tea and asked for Parathas only. And she said “chai bhi lega Varun”, “ji aunty” was all I could say.

Their son was packing parathas now. Image of sardarji sitting in his chair for 4 years is still there in my eyes.

Tall, sweet and such a hard-working person he was!! Gone too soon.
