A Muslim man with a pacemaker ran across a park in Italy to stop a man strangling a child.
Naveed Aslam. 39. Pakistani. Delivery courier. Brescia.
The park was full of people. Nobody moved.
Naveed had undergone heart surgery three months earlier. His wife tried to hold him back.
He told her:
"Life and death are in Allah's hands. Today he is doing this to someone else's children. Tomorrow he could have grabbed mine, and then no one would come to save them."
He went in anyway.
He pinned the attacker to the ground and absorbed punches and elbow strikes to his chest until police arrived.
After four hours of medical tests he went to the police station to help finalise the criminal case.
He started his courier shift at 5am.
Brescia's Mayor Laura Castelletti honoured him at Palazzo Loggia.
His citizenship was fast-tracked from two years to the following week.
Every outlet covered it. Every outlet called him Pakistani. Not one called him Muslim.
He told them why he acted. He used the word Allah. The headlines did not.
This does not only happen across the sea.
Maysum Abdullah ran towards a knife in a Manchester classroom to shield his pupils.
Mohsin Qayyum and Mohammed Yusuf Iqbal ran into a burning house in Leeds.
UK. Italy. Every country.
A hero in every headline. A Muslim man in none of them.
This is the same country whose Prime Minister said:
"There is a problem of compatibility between Islamic culture and the rights and values of our civilisation."
— Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy
The ideology she calls incompatible sent a man with a failing heart across a park to save children who were not his own.
The faith she wants kept out of Europe produced three men who ran towards danger when everyone else stood still.
The book they want to criticise commanded every one of them.
"Whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind."
— Qur'an 5:32
His name is Naveed Aslam.
Their names are Maysum Abdullah, Mohsin Qayyum, and Mohammed Yusuf Iqbal.
Muslim men.
Say both.

Hearing Cristiano Ronaldo say “Bismillah” before taking a World Cup penalty, is a reminder that guidance comes from Allah alone. A man is upon the religion of his close companions, perhaps living among Muslims continues to leave a good mark on him. May Allah guide him to Islam. 🤍🤲
🔥 December 2022, UN New York.India’s Foreign Minister accuses Pakistan of shielding terrorists and being the “epicentre of terrorism.”Pakistan’s then-Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari responds on the spot:
“I’d like to remind the honourable Foreign Minister of India that Osama Bin Laden is dead.
But the butcher of Gujarat lives. And he is the Prime Minister of India.
What is the RSS? The RSS draws its inspiration from Hitler’s SS.
Who perpetuates terrorism? Is it Pakistan? Ask the people of Gujarat. They will tell you it’s their Prime Minister.”

This is how diplomatic exchanges used to get when tensions peaked.

The effects of communism in Russia🇷🇺 and China🇨🇳:
In 1917, Russia was mostly illiterate and agrarian. By 1959, literacy exceeded 98%, and the USSR had one of the world’s most educated populations
Life expectancy rose from roughly 32 years (1917) to the high-60s by the late 1950s, despite the devastation of World War 2.
Industrial output (1913-1940):
Electricity 2 → 48 billion kWh (24×)
Steel 4.2 → 18.3 Mt (4×)
Coal 28.9 → 164.6 Mt (6×)
By 1960 the USSR generated 290 billion kWh of electricity, second only to the United States, after going through the devastation of WW2.
Doctors per 10,000 people increased from 14.6 in 1950 to 23.9 by 1965.
Hospital beds increased from 57.7 to 96 per 10,000 people
The urban population rose from 15% in 1917 to a majority by the early 1960s.
GNP growth averaged 5–6 % per year in the 1950s, among the highest globally.
China🇨🇳 developed rapidly throughout the Mao era, laying the foundations for the greatest transformation and improvement in living standards in world history, learning from the mistakes of the USSR:
Life expectancy in 1949 was 36, by 1972 it was 61. Currently, it is 78.5.
National income grew five-fold over the 25-year period 1952-1978, increasing from 60 billion to over 300 billion yuan, with industry accounting for most of the growth
80% of Chinese were illiterate in 1949, by 2015, 94.4% were literate
Over 800 million people were lifted out of poverty in the space of just 4 decades
In 1981, almost 90% of the population lived below the international poverty line. By 2015, only 1% lived below the poverty line
Since 1978 on average, China pulled 19 million poor people out of extreme poverty every year
China has accounted for nearly 75% of the global reduction in the number of people living in extreme poverty since 1978
China has become the largest trading partner of more than 120 countries
The Belt & Road Initiative has been launched, dubbed ‘the project of the century’, with over 150 countries joining
The average disposable income per urban household surged 66% from 2013 to 2020, according to official statistics. In rural households it rose 82% in that same period.
Extreme poverty has been eliminated in China
Lifted 98.99 million rural citizens out of poverty since 2013
Has built a larger high speed rail network than the rest of the world put together, expanding it from 10,000KM to over 50,000KM
Installed renewable energy capacity in China is roughly 4× larger than that of the United States today
China has become the world’s largest industrial economy, with manufacturing output now exceeding the US & EU combined
Presided over the largest housing and urbanisation programme in history, moving hundreds of millions into modern cities with infrastructure, utilities, and services. In 2013 730 million lived in cities, in 2025, 954 million lived in cities. An increase of 224 million.
By 2030, China is projected to account for over 40% of the world’s middle class
Average disposable income has increased more than 25x since 1980 (real terms)
China’s middle class already drives the majority of domestic consumption, shifting growth away from exports
China now contributes more to global consumption growth than the US and Europe combined
Steel production: China produces approximately 55% of global steel
Shipbuilding: China accounts for over 50% of global shipbuilding output
China produces more cement than the rest of the world combined
⚡️The renewable energy dominance:
China controls 80%+ of the global solar manufacturing market across the entire supply chain
It produces approximately 98% of solar wafers, 92% of solar cells, and 85% of solar panels globally
In 2025 alone, China exported 200+ GW of solar cells, with exports surging over 73% year-on-year
-Solar cells & wafers now make up 40%+ of China’s solar exports
-China drove over 50% of global solar expansion in 2025

The "three fingers in front of your face" test (also called the 3-Finger Test) is a simple, viral trick popularized in early 2026 for spotting deepfakes or AI-generated video during live calls, especially with scammers.
How It Works
On a video call (Zoom, FaceTime, etc.), you ask the other person: "Can you hold up three fingers in front of your face?" A real human does this easily — their hand overlaps their face naturally.
Many (especially older) deepfake or real-time face-swap systems struggle with this because:
- They have trouble rendering occlusion (when the hand blocks part of the face) accurately in real time.
- This often causes visible glitches: blurring, warping, distortion, unnatural blending, or the AI refusing / hesitating because it can't process the complex interaction properly.
In the original viral clip (from cybersecurity researchers like Jim Browning and Huntress Labs), a suspected scammer hesitates, deflects ("That's too much..."), partially complies poorly, or the video glitches — exposing the fake.
Why It Fits the Cognitive Wild West
This test is a practical example of the "Cognitive Wild West" idea: in an era of synthetic media, people are developing quick hacks and personal "defenses" because there's no widespread, reliable system for verifying reality.
It's low-tech cognitive security against high-tech deception — part of the arms race between AI creators and everyday users trying not to get scammed or manipulated.
Limitations (It's Not Foolproof)
Already becoming obsolete — Newer, more advanced deepfake models (as of mid-2026) handle hand-face interactions much better. Scammers now know the trick and can train around it or use better tech.
It works best on real-time generated deepfakes, not pre-recorded or highly polished ones.
False confidence is a risk: relying on one trick can make you less safe if you ignore other red flags (odd lighting, unnatural eye movement, audio mismatches, etc.).
Better Practices in the Wild West
Security experts recommend combining it with:
- Asking for unpredictable actions (e.g., specific movements or objects).
- Verifying identity through other channels (call back on a known number, check details independently).
- Using emerging detection tools or just defaulting to higher scepticism on unsolicited video calls.
It's a fun, memorable meme in the broader discussion of living with AI-generated content, but like everything in this space, it's temporary — the frontier keeps moving.
That time when an unarmed Iranian ship was invited to take part in an Indian naval exercise alongside the United States.
Its sailors were welcomed on land and paraded before Indian President Modi as a gesture of respect.
Then, at the last moment, the United States suddenly abruptly withdrew from the exercise, only to wait and torpedo the very ship it had just stood beside.
What followed was even more grotesque.
After attacking an unarmed vessel, the US refused to rescue the sailors it had blown into the sea, abandoning them to drown.
The grim work of recovering bodies was left to the Sri Lankan Navy.
This wasn’t warfare,it was treachery of the most disgraceful kind: an ambush carried out under the pretense of diplomacy, followed by a cold refusal to show even the most basic human decency to the dying.
It would represent a collapse of every norm that supposedly governs civilized conduct at sea.
And yet, instead of outrage, much of the American media response has been indifference or rationalization.
The bombing of a girls’ school is brushed aside; talk of carpet-bombing Tehran is floated as if it were just another policy option.
When atrocities are normalized and cruelty is laundered into “strategy,” the line between reporting and complicity begins to disappear......
Every time i watch Ronaldo on tv i swear i end up crying, not sad tears, happy tears. this man has inspired me so much its crazy. i probably wont ever get to watch him live but honestly just seeing him on my screen has taught me so much about discipline and hard work and never giving up. respect for life forever 🐐
