I was thinking about how poetic, symbolic and almost Shakespearean, it is the fact that Tommy died wearing his Claykicker outfit.
And in my mind, full of pain and sorrow, that can only mean one thing, Tommy never really left France, not mentally or psychologically, he never left the tunnels, he was always still there.
He died wearing the very outfit that caused the trauma which stayed with him until his last day......
