@charliermarsh Tools to automatically update code are what I'm most excited for in ty and what makes me think I can start enforcing type checking in all situations at my work.
@JebsSteve0x1@charliermarsh If 1.1 can be added to the Python standard library we only need to wait about 6 years to start using it in Python packaging.
@Niyxuis@charliermarsh As a pip maintainer I'm really happy there's another popular tool. Pip has very minimal resources so there's lots of use cases we can't spend time on.
@emjane90091925@RedTeamReview I will say that with that mock up image the woman's legs aren't properly aligned with her upper body, so it would explain why so many limbs are ill placed in the final images.
@emjane90091925@RedTeamReview There are lots of AI tools, from simple to advanced, you can feed images into and generate a new image in a different style.
Comparing the source image to the final image there appears to be AI "context bleed", where a phrase, like "shocked", gets applied to multiple elements.
it's #TheGameAwards nominations day and we just want to say that your game is something to be proud of no matter if it got a nomination or not.💛
indie development is hard, launching is hard.
but we're resilient, telling cool stories, and making amazing games.
Somehow there's ANOTHER update to the feast for Crows Illustrated A.I. saga? I swear I'm not milking this but...George R.R. Martin's art director, Raya Golden, JUST updated her post on George's blog and it's so dumb but also very telling
Really?
That's interesting because I've been speaking to a number of artists who have worked with George and Penguin Random House in the past, some of them who know the artist in question and even 1 person who currently works at Penguin Random House and they've told me something very different
My update video just got spicier 🌶️🔥
I had the pleasure of being the release manager for the pip 25.3 release:

I want to be very clear: The IDF lured me and the Palestinian farmers directly into this ambush and then sped off. The US Embassy told me that they cannot protect me.
🚨🇬🇧 DIGITAL ID UPDATE — THIS IS WORSE THAN WE THOUGHT
The government just pushed an alarming update to the Digital ID plan — and it reads like a surveillance wishlist. If you value privacy, this should terrify you.
🔴 They plan to collect everything: name, DoB, address history, phone & email, IP, device IDs, passports, driving licences, biometric residence permits, identity cards — plus unique account identifiers and location derived from IP.
🔴 They’ll share analytics data with third parties outside the EEA (Google Analytics / Dynatrace flagged) — meaning your identity data could be transferred to foreign jurisdictions.
🔴 This system centralises your entire digital life: payments, school places, benefits, tax records — all linked to one ID. A hacker’s dream — one breach, total exposure.
🔴 “Convenience” is the cover. The endgame is control: surveillance baked into everyday life under the guise of public service.
🔴 Politicians talk about safeguards — but history shows the state hands these systems to contractors, quietly shelves the red flags, and moves fast.
This isn’t a hypothetical. It’s a blueprint to make you searchable, shoppable, and controllable. Resist the roll-out politically, demand full parliamentary scrutiny, and insist on iron-clad limits before anyone signs your digital life away.
If you find yourself defending dog abuse you need to reassess your thinking.
You *should* be able to both call out opportunistic nazis and not fucking support dog abuse...
