it's insane that we've reached a stage where if I was working at @tryramp I could bring in any of pages to playground, prompt "add an approvals section.." and it creates iterations based on my code base, using my design system without me needing to spend another day preparing a handoff doc.

allow @notawrench and I to introduce Playground, an open-source sandbox for your non-technical teams.
we realised designers, PMs, founders and sales people all wanted to quickly change and explore flows for their users, that looked and behaved like the real app.
but devs don't trust non-technical teams to work on production and not f*ck up the code. agree. so the other way is setting up another mock repo.
and that defeats the point. it adds maintenance cost of keeping both in sync. this is what happened when both of us were working together too. so we built an open-source playground.
it has all the features out of the box:
super intuitive,
good ux,
links to claude/codex,
latest features,
easy additions of skills,
and best of all,
safe guardrails so if you want, you can get the code in one click (unlike figma or other closed source shit).
go let your non-tech team play.
Dev log:
- Build entire Meta Tag preview tool https://t.co/j0dQ70rIFb : 2 hours.
- Try to create a "satisfactory" favicon: 5 hours.
- Give up and use a random Baybayin script character: 1 minute.
Does it look cool at least?
The problem with AI apps isn't intelligence. It's rhythm. 🥁
Humans think messy. We backtrack. We interrupt. Current UIs assume we’re robots with perfect prompts.
1-star reviews prove it: Users don't hate the answers; they hate the LATENCY and lack of CONTROL.
I just realized why every AI app I've tried this week feels... dead.
It's because I'm being treated like a vending machine customer : I insert my perfect prompt (the coin), wait awkwardly, wait for output.
We're building gods and trapping them in rigid, transactional boxes.
ALL CAPS IN A PROMPT DEEMS YOUR INSTRUCTION AS IMPORTANT!!!
Got annoyed rewriting the text on openai playground so built an automator on mac.
prompt I used : "I want to create a mac keyboard shortcut such that the selected text is converted into all caps"
🧠 Writing headlines is hard.
So I made a tool that tells you how to make them better.

AI API responses are difficult to read
So I built a custom artifact that does one thing -
Beautifies your API response
Easily scannable, readable, and no more Postman mess
