Davis’ operation of the pick and roll and 2 man actions with Oscar was super encouraging to see, same with Kellog singling out his usage as PG.

@jonskin01929102 I think it’ll be Enis, Swartz, Green, McAndrew, Oswin.

Not really sure how people came to the conclusion that Davis would be de facto PG1. Enis scored better and had more APG (by .2) but did turn it over more. Maybe Swartz comes off the bench, but it wouldn’t make much sense…

@depewsgentleman @unclebillyo Yeah I agree, we’ll see if Rosa gets more than 6-8 min because of how raw he is. We’ve already got so much depth at guard/wing that trying to find more guys time will be tough. I’d love for 2-3 to just simply be better than the rest and earn 28-30 min. IMHO… depth is overrated🫣

@depewsgentleman @unclebillyo I’m not moved to guarantee a starting spot for an 11-3-2 player. I could also say the same about Swartz returning, but if Davis could get the edge if he really does bring the defensive edge and disruption that Huss is searching for in his new defensive identity

@depewsgentleman @unclebillyo I don’t see a world that Green isn’t starting and won’t give us less than 28 min a game. His skill set too valuable and does everything on the court. I even see him running time behind Oswin at the 5 again tbh

@jayslive1878 and he actually looked a bit more trim and athletic than last year too. Greers athleticism still pops, but the key to development is not just settling for outside looks, but being a genuine threat to slash, stop in the midrange, AND make your 3s. He hit a nice middy in scrimmage

@jayslive1878 Davis made some nice midrange shots in scrimmage, brought some SDSU grit/style with him it seems.

I don’t think we are going to see much of a jump from Traudt, I think we know what you get from him, which can be good. Getting the same Jasen we had last year is important…

@unclebillyo That’s not to say this will be the same issues as last year. I think Swartz and Enis are much better scorers than last years options. But my questions are where we make meaningful strides to improve

@unclebillyo know how much of a talent gap there is between starting 5 and next 5. The difference is clear at the center spot with Oscar/Rosa, but with Traudt, Greer, Davis, and Harmon, I’m not sure how different that is from first 5.

The difference will be how much we get from first 5 imo
