@pierrelarsen@TeslaZoa It would be counted under collision for insurance purposes, right? Assume they are required to report anything along those lines.
@grok@CourtneyHella@BrotherUnivibe @Real_JFK_jnr4 How did the bicycle that was right next to him make it through the gate if the gate was already down?
@TSLAFanMtl Public transport is cheap because it is subsidized, but actually quite expensive. An opportunity is taking those subsidies to work with transit (last mile/replacing feeder busses, reducing need for park and rides).
@Rocket__Mac@Mark06713706@WhamBaamX It's not just the accuracy of cameras, but the laws for those cameras allow citing the registered owner without proof of who is driving. No equivalent process for private viewing of infractions.
@JustinHorn@BeardedTesla@ZacksJerryRig Seems like a great two car solution for families to me. Low cost to operate for when no more than two passengers (90% of most people's use) and model y, cybertruck, or something else for when larger vehicle is needed. Or just take the two seater when CT is too big to park
@JustinHorn@BeardedTesla@ZacksJerryRig And yeah, a true robo Y can do all that too, but regulations more likely to approve a steering wheel free car for private use before one a kid could take control over. Plus Tesla has its best driverless tech in the robotaxi since it is ground up built for that only.
@JustinHorn@BeardedTesla@ZacksJerryRig First, Uber allows for teens (not sure about robotaxi), but I'm talking about benefit of ownership of a robotaxi. I'd rather put my kids or sight inpaired family members in a vehicle I own and control then riding with strangers or a third party owned robotaxi.
@JustinHorn@BeardedTesla@ZacksJerryRig Those aren't under $30k, cost more to operate, and have steering wheels that complicate having all unlicensed passengers in the car. I'd feel more safe having no controls for a 14 year old riding than with controls.
@DirtyTesLa Just saw two testing in neighborhoods of Mercer Island WA yesterday. Pretty sure I saw a disengagement in an intersection, but they are truly out there getting ready to take over
