Circular Economy - lead for @CECExeterUK
Accessible green solutions for all
Views my own
Now more than ever sustainable solutions need to be accessible and affordable to EVERYONE
People quite rightly need to focus on keeping their families fed, and warm, and clothed
But #climatechange cannot wait. We need to act now and manage ALL of the problems facing us 🧵⬇
Watching Esther Krauke spout nonsense on #GMB this morning highlights just how much the government needs to invest in green solutions and make them accessible to all
This narrative that the climate response is exacerbating the #costoflivingcrisis is dangerous and ill-informed
@RichardJMurphy The candidates are appealing to the Tory membership not the general population. They know the membership only cares about taxes and immigration...
@bp_plc The scientific advice is clear: no new oil and gas exploration. This whole "UK energy security" line is bollocks. It'll take years before any reasonable production, time and money that would be better spent on renewables investment
The ease at which we can be duped and manipulated. The way we can be lied to so effectively that hard facts have little value.
It should make us all take a beat. Check our sources. And be wise to the fact there other things to worry about that are being hidden from us…
🚨URGENT: We only have 5 days to demand the government implement a permanent windfall tax.
They’re trying to rush through half-baked plans that funnel money back into fossil fuel giants instead of helping people.

Climate action in 3 steps:
1. Reduce everything we can, as much as we can, first.
2. Offset the rest (which is impossible to do if we don't reduce everything we can first).
3. Build resilience to the impacts we can no longer avoid.
Why? Because the only other choice is suffering.
BREAKING: UN confirms industrial agriculture is unsustainable in the face of abrupt climate change heatwaves that threaten present and future farming 🧵
