Yesterday we met Shashi from Akshayakalpa and someone from the team asked, “What is the true north metric you are building for?” He immediately said, “Increasing the income and productivity of the farmers we work with. More customers, revenue and better quality products are an output of getting that one thing right." This is the same company that a top consulting firm once told the market for their products was too small and probably not worth building for. Today, they’re doing 3x the market size those consulting folks had estimated, in just one city.
If you’re a new founder, remember to not take business advice from people who’ve never built anything. Do what is right for the people you serve, stay close to them and stay stubborn about the problem. Markets have a funny way of becoming bigger when you create real value.
I’ve accepted, the only way to get out of a messy phase is when I look towards other women figuring it out. Messy, giggling and giving no hoots about what someone else thinks. It’s the most impactful mirroring technique which rewires my brain 100%.
To women owning their expression and experiential autonomy, thankyou. For being a lighthouse to ships unknown!
The millennial in me was happy to direct this commercial for @amazonmusic India!
Music unites our country! More so when it is Antakshari played across India.
the meltdown on this factually correct tweet shows how much we are cooked as a country..
some of us have learnt to react like over-activated gluten but the lack of real world experience shows that they can’t behave like a well rested dough 😅

Drinking lesser amounts, and less often. The selection behaviour has changed to proactive vigilance about quality and age of spirits. Also, “must drink when hanging out” code has been wiped off.
I saw a post on Reddit that said, “When you walk through a museum, you’re not just looking at art. You’re moving through centuries of people trying to explain love, grief, power, beauty, and belonging.” I don’t think I’ve ever seen a museum described so beautifully.
I’m convinced that knowing when and why to start a company is the most important decision a founder makes. The secret to not becoming a bad founder is to never force yourself to start one. Don’t chase problems because they sound cool, don’t build just to announce something. And don’t raise money or hire people merely to look like you’re making progress. Calling yourself a founder is not a status symbol. Starting a company is one of the most important choices you can make. If you have to manufacture the reason, you’re being dishonest with yourself and inviting pain for yourself and everyone around you. If no problem makes you deeply curious and obsessed, be comfortable not starting.
Every other morning, we’re all a bit more jealous of New York. The world is jealous of its mayor.
That man is catalytic evidence, of how neighbourliness and proactive communication gives people the politics they actually need. The city which people need not just yearn for.
What NY does, is often a socio-political template for the world. For all its habit of being frivolous with mainstream cultural and of course the hypocrisy to deny it, New York made an envious choice. While we just long for even having an option like that.
Iykyk, there is 0 picture or video evidence whenever you will be found smashing the most hits on any racquet court.
