SAPS extends its well wishes to the Special Task Force.The STF is participating in the UAE SWAT challenge in Dubai 20-24 Feb. The competition aims to encourage benchmarking&test the worlds elite units on their global tactical & weaponry ability to respond to high risk incidents.
The SAPS K-9 search and rescue team that was deployed to Turkiye to assist with search and recovery efforts have arrived back in the country. The team deployed consisted of 5 K9 dogs,their handlers as well as a team leader.

A Grade 10 learner from Geluksdal Secondary School in Brakpan, Ekurhuleni, was stabbed to death on Thursday. Two others were taken to Pholosong Hospital after sustaining injuries. This after a flight broke out between two groups of learners. Police attended the scene.
