Ritik Mali has been illegally detained at Rajtalab Police Station, District Banswara, and has been in police custody for more than 30 hours.

Despite repeated enquiries, the SHO of @Psrajtalab has categorically stated that he will not release him, claiming that his release is a matter of his “discretion”.

Keeping a person in the custody of @PoliceRajasthan without lawful authority is a serious violation of his fundamental rights under Articles 21 and 22 of the Constitution of India. The police cannot claim an unfettered “discretion” to keep a citizen detained.

We call upon to @RajCMO immediately intervene, disclose the legal basis of this detention and secure immediate release of Ritik Mali.
