It’s hard to keep up with the phenomenon of police killings of Indigenous Peoples in Canada lately. I just posted the number was 8 since August 29, but it’s actually 9! There is a huge crisis happening:

Aug. 29 - Jack Charles Piche, 31, struck and killed by a SK RCMP vehicle

Aug. 30 - Hoss Lightning-Saddleback, 15, shot and killed by 2 AB RCMP officers

Sept. 2 - Tammy Bateman, 32, struck and killed by a Winnipeg Police Service vehicle

Sept. 6 - Jason West, 57, shot & killed by Windsor Police

Sept. 8 - Daniel Knife, 31, shot & killed by SK RCMP

Sept. 8 - Steven "Iggy" Dedam, 34, shot & killed by NB RCMP

Sept. 14 - 59-y-o man died while in OPP custody

Sept. 15 - 52-y-o man died while in WPS custody

Sept. 17- 42-y-o man (Blood Tribe) died after confrontation with police in Calgary.
