Apple Daily is the only piece of newspaper my family would buy and read since my childhood. It was only HKD 6 when I was in elementary school and it's HKD 10 when I'm in college. This is the end of press freedom. This is gut-wrenching.
4. Apple Daily is a popular newspaper. It ranked 3rd most credible newspaper in the latest poll by a university research institute. People supporting democracy support them as well. Apple daily is murdered by an authoritarian regime, with the latest weaponized legal state.

Had a dream that Hong Kong started the week with yet more national security law arrests, this time of a pair of academics who hosted Zoom talks with speakers from abroad. Woke up planning to update my NSL arrest spreadsheet, then realised it was a dream 🙁
That's my faith. I am not religious -- fighting for democracy and human rights is my vocation and dedication. Hope the world can work together to address the threats of CCP and other authoritarian regimes.

This massive arrest is trying to threaten the public who once informally voted and supported these pro-democracy politicians to keep their mouths shut and retreat from supporting the opposition camps of #CCPChina#ccp
