Finally managed to catch up on sleep after last week's mad rush to finalise everything- but thank you so much to everyone who helped out, and more so to everyone who took part!
So proud of the community we have all built here at King's and always glad to celebrate it :D
The salary for postdoctoral scientists is £36k. Science is global - if the UK is going to be 'the best country for science in the world', we need to be able to recruit the best scientists. Now, we might not be able to - only British scientists can apply.
The group had a lovely outreaching session at Harris Science Academy East London talking about Nanoscience. Thanks to @notjanel for the nice presentation and the rest of the group members. This would not have happened without our collaborator @nanodialogos

Peter Higgs believes he would be regarded as “unproductive" in today’s academic system. He simply wouldn’t be able to “survive” in #science.
On his way to Stockholm to receive a Nobel Prize in 2013, he said the following in an interview to Guardian:

I’ve created a guide for non-scientists on how to read a scientific paper 📝🙏 please share to those who might benefit! @AcademicChatter#phdchat@dietitiansaus
But in all seriousness, I was so nervous heading into my first two conferences this year, but they have all been such rewarding, inspiring events that have left me with so many things to think about and a new invigorated drive- so thank you to everyone who commented and listened!
Was an absolute honour to be awarded best presentation at #Electrochem2022! Huge thanks to my flatmates and study partners who have heard me muttering it under my breath for the past month or so- they could probably deliver it word for word on my behalf 😅
Highlights on our activity at the Electrochem 2022 in Edinburgh organized jointly with @RoySocChem . Beautiful talks by @TracyHa11 and @notjanel on single enzyme junctions and ferritin echem. And BIG CONGRATS to @notjanel for winning BEST ORAL PRESENTATION!!

@NTMontes@KingsCollegeLon@ResultsinChem@JMaterChem And thank you for organising! I couldn’t have asked for a better conference experience as a student emerging from the pandemic. It has been a great few days that were both accessible for less experience conference goers, and hugely rewarding and engaging. Thank you!
The best week at #HFP2022 - so many incredible talks/posters and a wonderful opportunity to present my PhD work on the structure and mechanism of toxicity for candidalysin! A big thank you to the organisers and to @thenagliklab! Now to sleep for a week! 🧪🔬👩🏻🔬
Only took three days, but managed to completely reorganise my entire Mendeley library and notion space. Each paper individually filed and tagged. Let’s see how long this lasts!
