It’s over. I’m quitting design.
A client of mine just created a logo with Fable 5, and the result left me speechless.
It understood the brand story, values, audience, strategy, and turned all of it into a smart, minimal symbol. A genuinely brilliant concept. The kind of idea that captures everything at once. Something I honestly don’t think I would have come up with myself.
And it didn’t just nail the idea. It executed the design pixel-perfectly.
So I raise the white flag.
My skepticism about AI’s ability to do great design is officially gone.
There, I said it:
AI beat me at design.
Now that AI finally took my job, I can peacefully quit and dedicate my life to studying the only thing it may never achieve: human consciousness and the pathways to God.
Good luck everyone.
Lock in and change your life. Choose to be envious and hate or work hard. I’m 24 and I’ve realized that if you don’t full send your passion you’ll never make it.
the hardest skill i built wasnt strategy. it was not reacting for 24 hours
fast reactions felt like sharpness. really they were just fear with good timing. for a long time i confused speed with intelligence. someone would hit me with bad news, a bad number, a partner backing out, and id already have a reply typed before i even understood what happened. felt productive in the moment. looking back most of those replies i’d take back if i could
the actual shift happened when i started forcing a gap. not ignoring the problem, just refusing to let the first version of me answer it. the one still running on adreneline lol. id write the angry email and not send it. sit with the decision overnight instead of locking it in same day
sitting on a decision for one day has changed more outcomes for me than any framework ive studied. not bc waiting is magic. bc the person who shows up 24 hrs later usually isnt panicking anymore. and that person makes better calls
