Jake Retzlaff (@jretz11) blew me away with this answer about adjusting from life in SoCal to life in Provo and being the first Jewish starting QB in program history.
Dear John,
With all due respect, which is more than you likely deserve, save it. Be an adult. Get in front of a camera and say it with your chest. Releasing a letter, clearly written by someone else, and including a bunch of names you DEFINITELY do not know, is just disrespectful to those that love the team.
"We tried." lol. The fact that you STILL think that anyone cares about that at this point shows, once again, your lack of understanding of WHY people love the game. You love owning stuff, just not your actions. Either stand up with pride or keep hiding. Pick one, we're tired.
The campaign to open Mt. Davis for the final Oakland home game starts NOW!
Not opening all the seats for final game ever is a MASSIVE middle finger to Oakland fans, & will be a PR nightmare for A’s!
Retweet this if you think the A’s should open up Mt. Davis for the final game!
@TheDA53 This focuses more so on 1995-2016 (the other one I attached focuses more on 2017-2023), but it is GREAT reading on the subject. Thank you @baseballoakland!

One last thought before I turn off my phone:
Oakland raised nearly $1B / LV raised $380M
Oakland asked for $20m/yr and expansion assurances/Sacramento apparently asked for NO rent and got no expansion assurances.
Oakland Stadium Deal: 55 acres of Waterfront Property.
LV Stadium Deal: 9 acres stadium only.
The Town went above and beyond, but got undercut at every turn. Can't make a deal with someone that doesn't want to make a deal. Just like you can't buy a team that isn't for sale.
Oak stayed firming knowing giving up too much guaranteed a path to LV. Sac paved the road to Sin City for them.
Rob Manfred overseeing the clown circus of A’s relocation is one of the biggest farces in North American sports history. Only MLB would be excited to see one of its teams play three years in a 10,000 seat AAA ballpark 550 miles away from the intended destination.
@DaveKaval@Athletics@DaveKaval How can you be so heartless? You and John Fisher chose to be villains when you both could’ve been heroes if you stayed in Oakland! Now you’ll probably just block me like you do everyone else. #Heartless#Evil#Greed#Kaval

The message is clear: The people who run baseball don't care about fans, integrity of the game or viability of a historic franchise. They care only about circling their gold-plated wagons while collecting public tax dollars, columnist Ann Killion writes. https://t.co/CcFmhbYTrT
Thank you @DamonAmendo!
Not sure what’s worse? John Fisher or those that have falling for what John Fisher and MLB created.
If only national *and local media took the time to see what’s always been glaringly obvious to us fans.
Please watch *and listen:
John Fisher has owned the A’s for nearly 20 yrs. He:
▪️Hasn’t signed FAs
▪️Hasn’t re-signed A’s players
▪️Has watched the Coliseum rot
▪️Has refused to close a mere $80M diff. for a new park
▪️Has refused to go on camera to explain his decision
Stop saying it’s Oakland’s fault
2006-09: A's 100% on Fremont.
2010-16: A's 100% on San Jose.
During this 10-year stretch the A's refused to engage City of Oakland.
2018-present: City of Oakland has supported every formal action and approval in support of Howard Terminal plan.
