After living through the Nazi & atomic bomb eras, Tove Jansson writings would often encompass fearful ideas about loss of a familiar world. However she would balance this with characters who encompassed kindness & community, showing goodness even in the darkest times

Today we remember the 52 people who were killed, the people who were injured and affected, the heroes who helped and those who lost loved ones because of the terrible events on the 7th of July 2005 in London. @allontheboard#LondonBombings#NeverForget#7July#London
It's a good moment to remind people of the 7 Nolan principles of standards in public life (how politicians, civil servants, charity trustees etc are bound to act in public roles)
1 Selflessness.
2 Integrity.
3 Objectivity.
4 Accountability.
5 Openness.
6 Honesty.
7 Leadership
Tonight there are vigils being launched to mark the murder of #ZaraAleena and women are sharing a picture of their shoes with the hashtag #SafelyHomeInOurShoes.
No matter our destination, or the shoes, every woman and girl deserves to travel fearlessly.
July is Disability Pride Month and once again it is not trending anywhere and companies are ignoring it but again happy disability pride month to all 1.5 billion disabled people and everyone else!

In the 4th c. BCE a woman called Agnodice had cut her hair short, disguised as a man, in order to study and then work. When the Athenian men found out about her, took her to trial but the women of Athens defended her...thus Agnodice became the first woman physician of Athens.✨
“She walked everywhere. She put her party shoes in a bag and donned her trainers. She walked. Zara believed that a woman should be able to walk home…She was in the heart of her community, ten minutes from home.
'We all need to be talking about what happened to OUR ZARA”
“Zara believed that a woman should be able to walk home.”
