This effect is concentrated among older MDs. MDs over the age of 60 reduce their supply by 17% suggesting that this policy facilitated retirement. The takeaway is that allowing income shielding/incorporation reduces the supply of labour in this skilled/high-income group.

However we find particularly pernicious effects on MD extensive margin supply. The supply of all physicians is reduced by 6.8%. Medical specialists reduce their supply by 7.9%. Surgical specialists reduce their supply by 12.7%.
