That deja vu isn't a random, it's a moment where your brain is recognizing something that already happened in some version your life.
Not in a dramatic , sci-fi way, just subtle, like a quiet overlap. And we dismiss it because we can't prove it , but it always feels a little too exact to be nothing
Chelsea have spent over €2 BILLION on transfers in the last five years under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. 🤯💰
The Blues are once again the biggest spenders of the summer transfer window, investing a reported €389 million as new manager Xabi Alonso reshapes the squad.
Their biggest arrivals include:
🔵 Morgan Rogers: approximately €138m
🔵 Maxence Lacroix: approximately €61m
🔵 Marco Palestra: approximately €57m
🔵 Geovany Quenda: approximately €50m
🔵 Valentín Barco: fee undisclosed
🔵 Danny Welbeck: approximately £5m
🔵 Jordan Henderson: free transfer
Rogers is the headline signing. Chelsea paid approximately £117 million to bring the England international to Stamford Bridge, making him the most expensive signing in the club’s history.
He joins a squad already containing several of the biggest transfers ever completed by a Premier League club:
Morgan Rogers: £117m
Moisés Caicedo: up to £115m
Enzo Fernández: £106.8m
Romelu Lukaku: £97.5m
Mykhailo Mudryk: £88.5m
Chelsea have also generated approximately €132 million through player sales this summer, including the departures of Marc Cucurella, Andrey Santos, Trevoh Chalobah and Tyrique George.
That gives the Blues an estimated summer net spend of more than €250 million, although totals vary depending on add-ons, exchange rates and undisclosed fees.
Since the ownership change in May 2022, Chelsea have completed an unprecedented rebuild involving dozens of new players, long-term contracts and several managerial changes.
The investment has contributed to success in the Conference League and Club World Cup, but Chelsea’s Premier League performances have remained inconsistent.
After finishing 10th last season, Xabi Alonso must now turn one of Europe’s most expensive squads into a team capable of challenging Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Chelsea have spent over €2 billion in five years. The talent is undeniable, but the pressure to compete for the Premier League and Champions League is now enormous. 🔵🏆
