I hope United aren’t doing their usual and going for the alternative options. A player that can’t even get into the Brazil squad, has been labelled with not that great on the ball and has zero premier league experience.
England haven’t won anything for bloody years - it will either be a breath of fresh air or probably the end of him as England manager. Foden and Palmer have been average at best. Trent thinks he’s a centre mid and Maguire has been steady but only since Carrick arrived.
United have gone heart over head again and given an ex player the job. He’s done a great job but when they lose a few he will get flung on the pile with Ole and they will be back to square one. They should have stuck to what they said at the start.
TalkSport’s @alex_crook is reporting that representatives of Carl Rushworth are keen to meet with Coventry over the coming days to discuss potential permanent deal.
Other Premier League clubs also said to be interested in Rushworth 👀

🚨 Michael Carrick looks increasingly likely to land the permanent manager role after leading United to the brink of Champions League qualifications.
Club sources insist that the main focus is on securing a top five finish this season, and are in no rush to make a decision.
The club's hierarchy have been hugely impressed with him and his staff since taking over in January. [@ChrisWheelerDM, @NathSalt1] #mufc
Doesn’t need to fight for his place - is a guaranteed starter if available. What he’s had to deal with and the bullshit he’s come through is enough to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Never gives less than 110% @HarryMaguire93 - that’s all we ask for 👌🏼
🚨Harry Maguire has rejected four Premier League clubs — all to stay and fight for his place at Manchester United.
• Tottenham Hotspur
• Everton
• Sunderland
• West Ham United

🔴 UPDATE: Manchester United have offered Casemiro a one-year contract extension worth £225k per week.

Compare that to the weekly wages of other, arguably less impactful DMs:
• Rice — £240k
• Caicedo — £150k
• Gravenberch - £277k
• Rodri — £220k
