@ChinaGSProject Fair take. Leave aside good/bad, if you're China and see a chance to end the Western Bretton order, which *was* on the wane, maybe take it? They don't see what a chaotic force Russia represents - or don't care. Risky gamble. Could make similar mistakes the US made post WW I.
@ChinaGSProject@business Ghost factories in other countries will be the next target, which will be controversial for obvious reasons. I'm surprised to hear the size though. MX barely registers in open bid contract manufacturing. My guess would be suppliers to existing relationships, but no idea.
@travelfish Boiling water is the old school trick no one recommends for killing bacteria, etc.. Can have deleterious effects on glue, dye and so on, but it works really well and doesn't require time or chemicals. I use it for trail running shoes, socks, running hats, towels, anything.
@suilee To the attorney's office to discuss media & defamation laws and how they're enforced in practice & how extralegal measures work. China is clear & open compared to TH & plenty of journalists have learned as they're hung out to dry by their orgs regardless of brand or promises.
@stephendziedzic HELIOS PR lol:
..leverages technology building blocks from significant, long term internal research and development projects that continue to advance the Navy’s goal for fielding laser weapon systems ... putting the Navy on the right side of the cost curve for threat engagements
@Thebfryan This is like the farang menu in Thailand, which will be quoted to any foreigner in any tourist area - phad thai, green curry, tom yum goong, chicken with basil & mango sticky rice. All can be amazing, never at these places, but just the classic tourist menu.
@miketatarski In 3 months, got a 1-year LTV to India & Thailand (again). India's reqs on forms were comical ("Ever smiled at a Pakistani?!"), but processed quickly. Thailand was, as per, a vague, delayed mess. Vietnam, I file for a new visa after every business visit, which is annoying.

@miketatarski It's true Vietnam's system is stultifying, but all Thailand did was end the Kafkaesque tests, passes, SHA, insurance, etc. For parity, Vietnam just needs stamping in.
As someone said, the visa incentives, dropping TM-47, etc, are not driving Thailand numbers.

@Super70sSports Definitely that car began with some thick mustached exec in Warren or wherever slamming his hamfist on his desk and exclaiming, "We got to out-Jap them Japs!" followed by GM completely missing the point for another decade (or several) (or forever).
