LATEST: @Strategy launches a $250 $BTC-themed Air Jordan 1, but checkout only accepts cards and Apple Pay, with no Bitcoin payment option on the store of a company holding 845,000 $BTC.
You mean digital money that was designed to be decentralized, is now centralized, and is referred to only as a ‘digital asset’ is a problem? lol
Bitcoin Blake-2b is real Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Sha-256 is wearing the Bitcoin name as a skin suit. It has the momentum, so it’ll be around for a while, but it has ZERO chance of being the future of money.
I say it balances out, because it was harder to make money back then - even with a strong dollar.
Whereas now, people literally make money on X for doing what me and you are doing. How many kids right now are complaining about money, and not owning a home, but they have a car, and go to chipotle every day? With a car, they have the entire gig economy at their finger tips.
Any young person with spare time and a car, should not be complaining about money. They can be ubering, lyfting, door dash, etc.
The application process is almost guaranteed acceptance. There was none of that back then, it was a 9-5 sacrifice, or zero dollars in your pocket.
Satoshi didn't write a whitepaper about peer-to-peer image hosting.
He wrote about electronic cash.
When we forget that, the monetary purpose is already gone.
Yeah, people just need to stop, and say we don’t know. How can predictions be made if we don’t know true numbers?
People suspected something about the real estate sector, but until that collapsed - taking away many investments - there was just no way to tell.
It’s all guess work. Nobody has the balls to just say, I don’t know.
Node operators are the backbone.
Forcing them to store every JPEG and rune forever while calling it "neutral" is how you kill decentralization.
This is why the nodes have left.
Bitcoin is just a dead man walking.
