azur promilia tinfoil hat theory. i really believe the reason why the game is getting a delayed english release is because manjuu wants to get english voice work done, which means finding voice actors and recording lines and whatnot. i deadass can’t think of another reason why they’d delay the game when jp, cn, and kr are all releasing simultaneously. genuinely if there was no en dub option i really believe it would release in the west at the same time as the others.

will pushback change anything? probably not. i doubt manjuu will just release the game early in the west with subtitles (assuming my theory is right), but that’s a huge revenue market they’re going to be missing out on in the first 8-11 months of the game’s launch.

on the other hand manjuu can afford to wait though. they do have azur lane after all which is probably one of if not their biggest money maker (idk their profit/sale numbers). simply put if promilia fails in some way whether it be failure to retain high player counts, inability to turn that much of a profit, or anything that causes a eos, i really do think manjuu is just going to solely focus on azur lane as their main bread and butter.

i want promilia to succeed, but at the same time this delay along with the fact the game has a fmc and en dub option kinda feels like a recipe for disaster imo. maybe i’m hitting the panic alarm early, but the pessimist side of me feels like promilia’s success is a coin flip with a higher chance of landing on failure than success.

@dorksword1 the beach chapter takes place in chapter 10, so depending on the chapter adaptation per episode i could see it happening in ep 3-4. chapter 3 though has a blatant panty shot which could be put in ep 1 or 2. either way the fanservice is going to happen early.

ngl i give nue’s exorcist before ep 5 of the anime until the complaints regarding the ecchi/fanservice and harem aspects of the series come in. it depends how many chapters they adapt per episode, but once the harem aspect starts gaining traction i have no doubt there’s going to be posts saying how the girls are more suited for each other and they don’t actually love/like gakuro (just look at some of the posts you see regarding 100 girlfriends as an example). i also think the fact that it’s set in high school means there’s also going to be those sexualizing “literal minors” posts you see quite often from anime fans who can’t separate fiction from reality due to the fanservice and ecchi elements.

i really am just waiting for the inevitable unnecessary outrage the series will cause tourists/self proclaimed “normal” anime fans when it starts airing next year. i kinda doubt it, but the series could very well do the filtering itself due to the elements that are turn offs for tourists.

same here, but it’ll happen regardless. unless the amount of fanservice filters a majority of people. if you look at western 100 girlfriends fans there’s quite a few who disregard the male x female harem aspect and make it a yuri harem instead while completely dismissing the mc’s existence.

welp nue’s exorcist anime is scheduled for summer 2027 and studio pierrot isn’t animating it. huge win for me tbh. if i had to guess jump festa is when we’ll hopefully get some sort of trailer/additional info for it.

good chapter of nue’s exorcist this week. gakuro reformed his contract with nue, so i have no clue where this puts him in terms of power scaling now. i do find it interesting how we got a close up panel of raisei, i’m not sure if it’ll mean anything in the future or if it was simply a close up of his final moments.

with the way the chapter ended i’m 50/50 on if this is the end for kasha. on one hand it seems like it, but at the same time I wouldn’t be surprised if some ass pull happens and he survives or someone/something intervenes. if this isn’t the end of this fight then for me it’s getting to the point of dragging on for too long.
