👉Clarity: helping users see the payoff immediately.

When users see how they earn and how close they are to a reward, behavior changes.

Good empty states explain the screen, reduce confusion, set expectations, and guide the next action

What most of us do is maintain an already built product.

If you’re starting out as a PM, I feel you should look for a startup and help them build from scratch.

@ormanclark Evidence that you you can actually use design to encourage users to take certain actions. This reminds me of musical roads - roads that play a song, but the song is only played correctly if you travel at the signposted speed.

These are delightful experiences altogether.
