so it pains me to see other fellow artists, especially people close to me, be in fear of themselves and of their own audience. my only hope is that we can all be true to ourselves and push beyond our comfort zones to make cool shit for the whole world to enjoy

the biggest enemy of art is fear. fear of evolution, fear of doing something outside of your comfort zone

"but what if people don't like this thing i made" who cares. release it

doing the same thing over and over again out of fear only leads you to people forgetting about you

from the moment i started posting songs online i could've taken the "simpler" path and focus exclusively on doing bass music with sample chops, just for the sake of building an audience.
but chances are, if i did that, everybody would have tuned out by now

@aefluir so with eq, dynamic eq and multiband compression i adjust the dynamics accordingly do that in the end, in order to get the desired loudness, its just a matter of increasing the gain, so to speak

@aefluir 英語ごめん in order to clip effectively you need to control stuff beforehand. especially dynamics. for example: low end can be a bit tricky to not get it to distort, or sometimes high end will be too compressed and therefore it becomes too ear fatiguing...
