The most concerning issue regarding The GM process is the gene modification of the GM plant to not be affected by the herbicide containing the active ingredient glyphosate. Banned in many countries and the EU and very recently major concerns about Glyphosate in the UK. the U.S. Food and Drug Administration noted that there are no risks of concern to human health when glyphosate, and yet The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer, however, considers glyphosate a probable carcinogen.

@Coal_Harbor @CherylL82972029 @ACTBrigitte Hmmm interesting thought… however GM food still requires more independent research to convince the world its safe to eat. Recent research indicated health issues with animals fed on a GM diet.

The decision which entered into force on 7 February 2022 is based on the EFSA opinion that E171 can no longer be considered safe.

@GDFergie @CherylL82972029 @ACTBrigitte No, but many of us absorb products through the skin and many of us dont look at the ingredients of the products we eat or drink and even if we do we often dont know what they are.

@greysoggyhandy @CherylL82972029 @ACTBrigitte Im not saying baking soda is bad for you, my pont is most dont know what the ingredients are in the food or products they ingest. Many would consider toothpaste as ok, as it is approved by bodies like the FDA, but some contain ingredients such as titanium dioxide.
