As the Speaker of the Lebanese parliament accuses Israel of 54 ceasefire violations in the first four days, our full piece on Baalbek just before ceasefire gives a glimpse of the terror Israel inflicts and the wonderful heritage and resilience of Lebanese people.
62.
That’s how many times Israel has violated the so-called “ceasefire” in Lebanon—just in the past 5 days.
“This is the worst ceasefire you could possibly imagine; where one side is allowed to fire and the other side is not allowed to fire back.”
Israel: We assassinated the guy we were supposed to be negotiating with, as well as the 300+ nearest civilians, because he wouldn’t stop asking for a ceasefire
Biden/Harris: Israel wants a ceasefire, it’s those pesky Arabs who want war
Todays massive terrorist attack across Lebanese by thr state of Israel, reminds of an important point: zi*nists introduced terrorism to the region. They were the first to plant bombs in market places, offices, etc. Their state is founded on this violence. It knows nothing else.
What Israel has just done is, via *any* method, reckless. They blew up countless numbers of people who were driving (meaning cars out of control), shopping (your children are in the stroller standing behind him in the checkout line), et cetera. Indistinguishable from terrorism.
Grateful to @TheRazorMag for featuring a little essay I wrote in 2020. If you've struggled to recognize that someone was saying your name, this one's for you! https://t.co/g8Q1x6waEU
@FrameworkPuter@Lenovo I like your logo better than Legion's anyway.
(I spent an hour making this and then saw that others have proposed the same thing...)
Testing your product for #accessibility yourself will *never* compare with testing with real users.
This week we conducted 5 usability interviews with frequent screen reader users. Here are some things I observed:
(a thread) 🧵👇
In 2014, this French weather presenter announced the forecast for August 18, 2050 as part of a campaign to alert to the reality of climate change. Now her forecast that day is the actual forecast for the coming 4 or 5 days, in mid-June 2022.
I know I say this every time accessiBe comes up on my timeline, but: accessiBe and entities like it thrive because of ableism – because one-click solutions are attractive when you have no idea how to engage with disabled people and no expectation to do real work on your ableism.
I'm nostalgic for mid-2020 when the rules were clear:
Stay at home.
Play in the kitchen.
Learn to cut your own hair.
Brag on your pajamas.
Go wild with the Zoom backgrounds.
Ask everyone how they're doing (and when they ask you, TELL them).
Be extra kind, just in case.
