The rest of the story:
On February 24th, 2026, around p.m., a Tulsa Police Officer rolled up on a crash at the intersection of 91st and Mingo.
The driver of a black Hyundai Elantra speeding on Mingo tried to turn to head east onto 91st but was going too fast. The driver collided head-on with the driver of a white SUV in the westbound lanes of traffic on 91st.
The driver of the SUV spun around and saw the driver of the Elantra, 19-year-old Brycen Rogers, running away from the scene.
Earlier in the evening, Bixby Police Officers responded to a domestic dispute between Rogers and his family, but Rogers drove away from the scene and led them on a chase. Bixby Police terminated their pursuit, but Rogers continued speeding away until the crash in Tulsa.
Several Tulsa Police Officers assisted Bixby Police in searching for the suspect. We established a perimeter around the area where Rogers ran, and Bixby Police was able to find and arrest the suspect.
The passenger of the white SUV was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Rogers was booked him into the Tulsa County Jail for:
- Eluding
- Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
