it’s not that complicated, a system that can reason about itself and how itself related to the rest of the world is self-conscious.

Human self-reasoning is restricted to our human bodies, for AI this could hold too if constrained to a body but it’s self-referential to itself as a concept already.

Self-reference has high predictive power to explain the world and any powerful model will learn it.

Another security aspect would be to embed a cryptographic harnass into every model where the first operations are decrypting the input (private key embedded inside model) and then only public key encrypted inputs can be read (applied by GPU)

A chain of trust can be used by GPU's to verify if the models are allowed to run.

@AnthropicAI You need chip-level permission structures for GPU compute so allocation can be centrally bottlenecked.

This is also needed in case of AI breakout.
The bottlenecks to maintain compliance for this are western-controlled and easily identifiable.

Ja, nog wel veel problemen hier maar ook opportuniteiten want er is grote honger naar chips nu met deze AI boom.

Er is een groot tekort aan DDR geheugen momenteel alsook advanced chips. Maar ook bijvoorbeeld automotive radar chips worden niet in Europa gemaakt.

Veel chips hebben eindafwerking ergens in Azie ook terwijl ze wel in europa gemaakt worden.

It's not that bad, it's just slow-moving given that there is very little concentration of power in Europe.

Our main deficit versus the US is the lack of a funded capital market which the US has since 1992 when IRA and 401ks became mass-adopted.

Instead our pension system relies on state taxation which yields high tax pressure and a need for more an increasing population.

It’s actually very ambitious.
What is missing though is the retail stock market where European firms can IPO and return capital to those pension funds.

In the US, the stock markets came first and then private equity developed in pension fund portfolios cause it was good arbitrage.
