Although he was gracious enough to show me a thing or two, if I truly did have a passion to learn bronze casting, the reality is “I CANNOT” because -“WOMAN I AM”! I am allowed to sell the artwork though,how patronizing 😏

I felt all sorts of feelings that day, I cannot hate my culture,but I hated how I felt!
I realized we don’t even have a female Chief in benin( please correct me if I’m wrong) How ridiculous is that!

One of the places we visited? the palace, do you know that I (the female Bini indigen) had to wait outside in some places at the palace while he (the male visitor) had a swell time, because women are not allowed in certain places?🤨😐

Years ago,my husband, then boyfren at the time, came to Benin, of course I took him around, had to show baby boy that baby girl I might be, but very grounded in my roots, upbringing and reality I very much am.
