"I went out and bought 'I Want To Hold Your Hand,' and then I followed them through all the albums. The fact was the music just got better. It kinda reached a peak with the White Album and Abbey Road. They got more mature, they never took their eyes off the prize.

"The thing that really hooked me in was their charisma. They were very dynamic, the way they interacted. That's what I liked — the fact that they really went for it, the look and the whole approach.

"Y’know, I went up to Liverpool and looked all over for the places those beautiful songs came from. And I couldn’t find them anywhere. I came to the conclusion that they wrote them in their minds. To me, they’re real heroes."
