@PennePipstop @TorstenBell Taxes are not savings accounts; in particular National Insurance contributions are not saved up for people's use at a later stage. It's always been a PAYG system - this year's contributions pay this year's expenses.

It would be a pretty miserable existence throughout your working age to plan to live on Pension Credit.

But pensioners pay less tax for the same income than the working people who fund the £31bn. That's because the working people pay the same income tax plus a tax called NI.

BTW, Mounjaro contains tirzepatide, not torzapetide (which I don't believe exists). In the UK, it's more popular than semaglutide, too.

Nobody, incl #WASPI is eligible for state pension before they reach their SPA, which is also clearly defined in law. Already reconfirmed by the High Court and Court of Appeal 5 years ago.

It doesn't get paid for 7 or 8 years for tens of millions of younger women. Many #WASPI have been in receipt of SP for over 13 years by now. #FactsMatter
