The two sides also welcomed progress on the new Free Trade Agreement between the United Kingdom and the @GCC.

اجتمع سعادة الدكتور محمد بن عبد العزيز بن صالح الخليفي، وزير الدولة بوزارة الخارجية، اليوم في لندن، مع سعادة السيد جوناثان باول، مستشار الأمن القومي البريطاني، وسعادة السيد هيمش فولكنر، وزير شؤون الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بوزارة الخارجية والتنمية البريطانية، وسعادة البارونة جيني تشابمان وزيرة شؤون التنمية الدولية بوزارة الخارجية والتنمية البريطانية، كل على حدة.

جرى خلال الاجتماعات، استعراض علاقات التعاون بين البلدين وسبل دعمها وتعزيزها، ومناقشة آخر المستجدات في المنطقة لا سيما جهود الوساطة بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية.

وأعرب سعادة وزير الدولة بوزارة الخارجية، خلال الاجتماعات، عن دعم دولة قطر الكامل لجهود الوساطة الجارية، بما يفتح المجال أمام معالجة جذور الأزمة عبر الوسائل السلمية والحوار، ويفضي للتوصل إلى اتفاق مستدام، يحول دون تجدد التصعيد.

The British Embassy joined @QatarUniversity and partners to mark one year of progress on the Strengthening AI Capacity for Humanitarian Organisations in Qatar initiative.

The initiative brings together government entities, humanitarian organisations, academia and international partners to strengthen responsible AI capacity for humanitarian action.

The resumption of conflict between Iran and Israel is in no one’s interest. Both sides must show restraint and de-escalate immediately.

ويأتي افتتاح سيفن إيذاناً باكتمال المشروع متعدد الاستخدامات البالغة قيمته مليار جنيه إسترليني، والذي تم تطويره بالشراكة مع مجموعة كناري وارف، بعد أكثر من عقد من العمل والتطوير.

وشهدت المناسبة مراسم قص الشريط بحضور الشيخ حمد بن طلال آل ثاني، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الديار القطرية، والسيد شوبي خان، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة كناري وارف، إلى جانب عدد من كبار الشخصيات والضيوف.

ويجسد هذا الإنجاز محطة مهمة في مسيرة مشروع أسهم في تعزيز المشهد العمراني والثقافي لإحدى أبرز الوجهات النهرية في لندن، فيما يمثل سيفن الفصل الأخير من قصة ساوثبانك بليس.

Qatari Diar celebrated the official opening of SEVEN, the final building at Southbank Place in London.

The launch of SEVEN completes the landmark £1 billion mixed-use development delivered in partnership with Canary Wharf Group, marking the culmination of more than a decade of transformation.

The official opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Sheikh Hamad Bin Talal Al-Thani, CEO of Qatari Diar, and Mr. Shobi Khan, CEO of Canary Wharf Group, alongside distinguished guests.

This milestone reflects the successful completion of a development that has enhanced the urban and cultural landscape of one of London’s most prestigious riverside destinations, with SEVEN representing the final chapter in the story of Southbank Place.

Very sad news about the passing of HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah. A hugely important figure in Qatar’s modern history. A pioneer with vision, patriotism and integrity. He was incredibly generous with his insight and wisdom. In our conversations his love for Britain also shone through. He will be missed.

We need to see an agreement that brings the conflict to an end and reopens the Strait of Hormuz, with unconditional and unrestricted freedom of navigation. It’s vital that Iran must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.

My government will continue to do everything we can to protect British people from the impact of this conflict.

We will work with our international partners to seize this moment and achieve a long-term diplomatic settlement.
