Robert Fife is right speaking of @PierrePoilievre
"It's not much of a coalition, frankly it's right wing and MAGA"
"A coalition is what you're seeing @MarkJCarney put together which is a lot of progressives, some conservatives, some centrists, or the old conservative party"
Hocus Pocus. 1973. The Midnight Special. Here's the story:
The TV producers told the band they only had 5 minutes left & couldn’t play the 7-minute “Focus,” but the band’s response? ‘Hell no, we’ll just play it faster.’ And so they turned it into a full-blown exorcism ✞
Tim Powers reacts to Danielle Smith calling Alberta judge's decision 'antidemocratic': "Let's not forget the obvious fact we all learned in our civics classes: there's nothing undemocratic about the judiciary — they exist in our system to provide a check and a balance in circumstances like this."
Erin O'Toole: "I think President Trump is still mercurial and difficult to predict, but the Prime Minister has changed the level. We look more professional. We're standing on our own. We're proud of our history. I like all that stuff."
Marco Vigliotti: The Americans are saying it's not really a negotiation, we're laying out what we need to see Canada do and Canada is not meeting this
PM Carney: That's a negotiation. That's a position. We're not sitting here taking notes and taking instruction from the US
I don’t think Americans realize that the damage is done and we aren’t turning back. Lutnick can play dumb all day long and be as offended as much as he wants but this is the direct result of an asshole with a big mouth slinging insults like it won’t matter. Well clearly it does.
Tom Mulcair: "Mark Carney has never said he's going to try to walk away from the Canada-U.S. relationship. That's a falsehood that Lutnick is putting forward. That Pierre Poilievre was also putting forward."
Trump: “I took a lot of heat for saying drugs were going down 500%, 600%, 700%. But we also say sometimes 50%, 60%, it’s a different kind of calculation, and people understand it better.”
The dumbest president ever.
Scheer going on about food prices here. Didn’t I just read that the Conservatives and Bloc voted against a Food Price Transparency Act today? What an idiot.
Poilievre complains almost daily about the Liberals raising prices on groceries.
However, yesterday, he voted no on Bill-C226 to improve food price transparency.
Conservatives are lying to you 😒
Robert Fife on Pierre Poilievre claiming he can get a tariff-free deal with Trump: "[He] can't keep his caucus together. So how can he expect to negotiate with the Trump administration?"
Why would Cons vote against a Food Price Transparency Act when all they do is bitch about food prices? I’ve said it many times before, pay attention to what Conservatives do, and then compare it to what they say. You’ll realize very quickly how sleazy and deceitful they are.
CARNEY: "I do not get up first thing in the morning and think about the United States. I think about Canadians ... Our destiny is first and foremost going to be determined by what we do here. Canadians get that. I'm not sure everyone south of the border understands that."
Pierre Poilievre: "I think the Prime Minister should get away from all of the theatrics, the YouTube videos, and the distractions and tell us how he's going to achieve [tariff free trade]."
(Pierre's posted six YouTube videos this week to Mark Carney's one...)
