They didn't wave it. They were just getting read in in advance of their polys with the assumption they'd pass. These were yellow badges who went green. Clearances sponsored by their employer.

There was a shortage of polygraphers, and the experienced ones were reserved for federal employees. A lot of corners were cut for contractors if they came with military backgrounds.

The company that used to handle contractor investigations (USIS) frequently cut corners too. Didn't bother to check service records for demotions or serious behavioral problems.

If Trump really wanted to pressure MBS into normalizing with Israel, he'd work something out with him in private and hold his tongue in public.

And I don't think Trump actually wants Qatar to join the Abraham Accords, at least not any time soon. They're more useful to both America and Israel as they are right now.

Trump says these things to reassure Americans and Israelis that he hasn't abandoned the Abraham Accords, and that he isn't turning his back on Israel. Because that's what the narratives are like in America right now -- they claim Trump holds more regard for the Gulf states than Israel, Trump abandoned the Iranian people, Trump has been duped by the Regime or else bought off by Qatar, KSA, Erdogan, etc.

We have elections coming up, and so do the Israelis. Trump can't afford to look like he's abandoned Israel, and Netanyahu's opposition is campaigning on the notion that Netanyahu has destroyed relations between Israel and the US.

Trump was referring to clinical death (cardiac arrest + cessation of breathing), not true biological death. Clinical death may be reversible by CPR, defibrillation, and certain drugs (like epinephrine).

He was talking about a drug that hadn't yet been approved by our Food & Drug Administration. Patients were given access to it by the 2018 Right to Try Act, which allows the terminally ill to bypass years-long clinical review processes to try experimental drugs.
