every time i see lots of people collectively freaking out over some piece of media/culture that i never got into i'm like "thank god that's not me" but then i remember i regularly watch a bunch of people i don't know play dungeons and dragons for 4+ hours straight
I honestly couldn't give two fucks what a bunch of old white dudes think about D&D. 😂
#dnd & #ttrpg's are greater now than they have ever been. *literally* With more diverse voices making them *even better* and allowing folks to express & explore their identity within them.
I have an idea for a D&D book that needs to happen, for real.
A style and fashion guide for adventurers.
Like Elle for Orcs.
I'm serious, though.

Lil Nas X sliding down a pole to give satan a lap dance will do far less to harm children than theologies that makes them feel like their lives don’t matter. The CGI devil isn’t denying healthcare or disowning children or shooting people because they feel entitled to sex.
"A lot of prejudices are normalized, so you should examine yourself to unlearn racism."
❌ "So that means I'm a racist? 😠😭"
✔️ "I will learn and do better. My emotional response to hearing that I hold learned prejudices comes second to the lived reality of being a POC."
@DnDBeyond Gnolls were a creation of fantasy writer Lord Dunsany, and were originally described in D&D's original Chainmail fantasy supplement the way he described them as "a cross between gnomes and trolls".
Melusyne Dawnbringer of Landwirtheim Homestead. Chaotic Neutral Oasis Elf matchmaker (commoner stats). She/Her. Personal Items: journal of eligible bachelor & maiden names, quills, ink bottles, folded scraps of parchment. Not aligned with any Faction. #NPC
Why do psychic children reoccur in fiction by both Stephen King & David Mitchell? https://t.co/QT4aoVOgTe “the villains ... attain a kind of semi-immortality (with superpowers) by praying on the life essence of others, often children” https://t.co/6TgCH2Jciy Why the psychic kids?
Idk why so many DMs are opposed to indoor plumbing in their DnD games. I get the high fantasy aesthetic but if your world has guns and extra-planar entities that can fundamentally alter space and time, maybe it would be cool if the characters didn't have to shit in dirt holes.
Report on Tonight’s D&D Session: Ranger with his Wolf, a Loxodon Cleric, and an Eberron Wizard took on 3 Sliver Broodlings + 1 Fury Sliver in an underground Mizzium Ore Mine on Ravnica. Players had a blast until Fury Sliver burrowed away. #ActualPlay#DnD#ravnica#MtG#homebrew
