Offering my heartfelt condolences to the @CT_STATE_POLICE on the line of duty death of Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier this afternoon. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, & colleagues during this most difficult time.
MU officers found an Osprey entangled in fishing line in Norwalk Harbor. The Osprey was pulled from the water and a raptor rehabber was called. Christine from Christine’s Critters now
has the Osprey with hopes of treating its injuries and releasing it back into the wild.
The Marine Unit responded to a capsized canoe this morning near Chimon Island. Officers pulled 2 people out of the water. Fortunately both were wearing life jackets and were not injured. A great reminder of the importance of wearing a life jacket when enjoying Long Island Sound.

Literally dozens of people, many of whom are retired at this point. Our move helped stabilize the neighborhood which was quite different in many ways at that time. Newer officers never knew the old headquarters building.
I was in charge of both buildings and the move and want to take this opportunity to thank to all those who worked so hard to ensure the success of our new headquarters building.
