@gruntdog375 @policywishes 100% agreed. But how does one know if they are a good, strong nurse or not? Experience. There are going to be good and bad apples in the bunch. But we need to get out of this mindset NP vs MD/DO. It’s a team. If I have a problem you know who I go to? Specialist or physician

@policywishes @gruntdog375 I would fully agree. There needs to be reform and concentration on core quality measures and curriculum. It really needs to be rebuilt, IMO. Very similar to CRNA’s… 1-2 years of critical care experience minimum needed before school.

@policywishes @gruntdog375 Mandates of minimum 5 years of bedside nursing before applying to NP school should be the minimum. Will this fix the problem? No, but it will improve the quality of ALL future NP’s. PA’s, that’s another topic of discussion but again exposure is knowledge and learning

@policywishes @gruntdog375 You have a very valid point. The NP schools have seemed to deteriorate in quality. Meaning, one graduates from BSN and can get already accepted straight into NP without bedside experience. This, needs to stop; period. The bedside nursing builds the foundation…..

@policywishes @gruntdog375 And critical thinking skills on why, what, if, and when. Exposure to disease processes builds patterns one can see while taking care of patients. Will NP’s ever be MD’s? Absolutely not, unless they go back to school. However, an experienced, properly educated NP can provide….

@colossus_cap @DrunkenJungle @Sky_Cam7 Prices have hardly budged but they are decreasing as we speak. Higher rates equal cheaper houses lower rates equate to more expensive houses. Same cycle in 2008. It’s coming just be patient
