Happy to share that after long & sustained efforts our Govt has finally taken over assets of HPC Nagaon & Cachar paper mills by paying ₹375 cr through a transparent bidding process.

This will pave the way for the long-awaited relief to the mill workers.

Following decisions have been taken today in the Cabinet meet chaired by HCM @himantabiswa sir:
➡️7 areas of @kaziranga_ have been declared as Eco Sensitive Zones, 11 areas as RFs & 9 animal corridors.
➡️₹375crs have been approved for the purchase of Cachar & Nagaon Paper Mills.

A good news to share. AIDC is the sole bidder in the auction. No other party has entered. At 5 pm Yesterday, the time is over for submission of EMD. Liquidator has confirmed it. Lets hope everything is settled by 2-3 Months this year. @himantabiswa @Pijush_hazarika

Finally reached agreement with the workers and employees of Hindustan Paper Corporation to resolve long pending issues of their salaries and dues.Discussion lasted over 4 hours in my office and concluded at 2 AM. Back to home now. Will leave for north Assam tour at 8 AM
