"Jim Ratcliffe is a stinking hypocrite."
Ash Sarkar responds to the billionaire Manchester United co-owner's comments on immigration and welfare.

Seeing Vance's comments, I lived a similar moment 19 years ago in a Russian courtroom hearing a judge state that the police officer's testimony had to be trusted over our video evidence because "he was wearing the uniform". Total immunity beats reality in a police state.
“Do as I say” Dyson wants UK to manufacture more (agreed) but shifted production to #Singapore because the supply chain there was better than here whilst criticising UK biz for not creating local supply chains to support manufacturing ?!
Dyson denied cheaper workforce costs drove him overseas but then slags off UK costs as far too high, stifling growth & RnD.
Dyson told @bbcnickrobinson (who was a pussy cat interviewer!) he backed #Brexit after the #EU made an onerous decision in relation to one of his products which he then overturned on appeal!
Dyson was NOT asked about the phoney #Brexit bonuses & promises - not held to account at all even tho he was an important voice for #Leave
I have no doubt Sir James is hugely able and talented but on the above he talks nonsense & fails to practise what he preaches
@BBCr4today
Beyond satire. You are now defending the rights of a fan base with such an egregious track record of racist violence that they are banned from the city of Amsterdam. Starmer wants Birmingham to host people who chant for Palestinans to be raped and their villages burned.

On July 13, 2025, Israel bombed a group of people collecting water, killing 10 civilians, including 6 children. When mainstream media finally spoke out, Israel dismissed it as a “technical error.”
Today, July 17, Israel bombed a church, killing three Christians. Because they were Christians—and because this was the church the late Pope Francis used to call daily before he passed—Israel issued a statement calling it “a stray ammunition.”
And on March 23, Israeli forces murdered 15 medics in Rafah. At first, they claimed the ambulances were “suspicious.” But after a video emerged on April 5 showing clearly marked emergency vehicles under fire, Israel walked back its narrative, calling it a case of “professional failures.”
This is not a string of accidents.
It’s a pattern—of killings followed by lies, of mass death explained away with press releases.
And the world?
It hears these lies, buys them, and then pays more to watch and fund the next.
Shame on this whole world.
Today Ireland becomes the first country in Europe to bring forward legislation to ban trade with the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Ireland is speaking up and speaking out against the genocidal activity in Gaza.
Every country must pull every lever at its disposal.
Just 0.2% of all millionaires moved to another country in 2024, but news outlets around the world spun this into a “millionaire exodus”.
11,000 news pieces were published in 2024 about an exodus that did not exist.

It gives me no pleasure to do this, but it has to be done. I have thought long and hard about it, and Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Here is my full explanation of why and how I reached that conclusion.
This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.
