We send our deepest condolences to the family of Ed Dohanos, age 95, who passed away on Friday. Ed started his multi-sport officiating career 49 years ago and will be best known for the strong personal connections he formed with those around him.
Tonight ended my career as the NR boys basketball HC. In the last 9 years I was able to build relationships, meet some great people, develop an effective program. I will miss the boys, the scouting report, and the in game decisions. But I’m excited for the next chapter!
The time has come for me to step down from my coaching position. I want each of you (past and present) to know that I am sincerely grateful for our time together. Leaving the program with gratitude and without regret. I hope you did/will too! Go Rangers!

"It doesn't mean I would have WON, but now I had to wonder-- if I would have trusted myself, what would have happened?" @karagoucher
A great insight: mental toughness doesn't always mean you will win, but if you take care of the mental game, you wont have to wonder.

Having a purpose is incredibly powerful.
My dog goes on runs. In the TX heat he gets tired and slows down, trotting along looking like he’s all out of energy.
Then he sees a squirrel...and takes off in a dead sprint...
If it matters to you, you’ll find the energy.
You can't force breakthroughs.
Forcing backfires. Causing you to tense up and stress out.
Instead, you have to follow your curiosity, enjoy the process, and put yourself in position to have success. Do the work and get out of your own way.

The best performers are never too sure of themselves because they’re always pushing.
A little doubt and uncertainty is actually a good thing: it signals that a growth opportunity has emerged
If you want to know what happens when you keep working, day after day, year after year and never give up, look no further than Jr. @jasoncoook3
His first race as a Fr he ran a 23:01.
Two years later?
He ran a 17:29 yesterday.
Don’t ever give up on yourself.
Keep working.
