Toyota akan turunkan GR GT3 di tim tertentu untuk 2027.

GR GT3 dikabarkan akan jalani debutnya di WEC, IMSA, SuperGT, dan Nürburgring 24 pada tahun 2027, namun hanya digunakan oleh tim yang berafiliasi dengan Toyota.

Akkodis ASP dan Vasser Sullivan masing-masing akan menggunakan GR GT3 di WEC dan IMSA, sementara Rookie Racing dan KCMG akan turun di Nurburgring 24 Hours. Untuk di SuperGT Rookie Racing kabarnya siap menurunkan GR GT3 di kelas GT300.

Untuk tim customer lainnya yang berminat baru kebagian jatah turun dengan GR GT3 di 2028.

Untuk saat ini mobil tersebut belum dihomologasi, namun aerodinamika GR GT3 diyakini sudah rampung, dan kemungkinan tidak akan ada ubahan visual berarti, sebelum menjalani debut perdananya yang diperkirakan akan terjadi di Super Taikyu atau SUPER GT.
