@OgbeniDipo@UniIbadan UI doesn't have a fixed cut off mark for any courses except the 200 Jamb cut off mark to be eligible for their putme. However, I think your relative score is abit low for MBBS and he/she might need to do extraordinary well in putme or just explore other alternatives.
Something for my Nursing Student Audience today.
Avoid Charting:
“Lungs congested.”
Chart This Instead:
“Coarse crackles auscultated at bilateral posterior lung bases.
Patient reports shortness of breath with exertion. Respiratory rate 24 breaths/min. SpO₂ 89% on room air.
Oxygen initiated at 2 L/min via nasal cannula per order.”
Cheers 🥂
My chief @KpoabariRN, I think I will need the drink you took this early momo ooo
Those tweets were like a nail in the head.
Simple truth about my reality.
They took this Guy from His last month as an Intern Nurse...sent him offshore.
Of course that is after....Bosiet, Bls/Acls/Itls, OSP....even did swimming pass for him.
The guy do 28 days rotation twice.....next thing een disapper.
Next they heard was that he was working for another company...in another state.
On monday....i joined a meeting where i heard it.
....Though there is a fault from the HR and legal unit of the company...
... But I'm just imagining the kind of black heart people have.
.... Compounded acts like this....Would damn the openings that would have been enjoyed by others in all.
And these are Blunders that Mentorship can Solve...but LoL !!
If I'm given a pass to recommend someone for a placement ..especially around healthcare .
And i have 2 persons (1 Christian, 1 Unbeliever) on my mind..
..I'll evaluate...
... The person with a capacity to standout, and who will also help recommend or push in others... is the person I'd choose.
I've said it before....Leverage is a big thing in Nigeria.
....If ypu don't have the potential of helping people climb up, then there is no need sending you up too. You can eat your Talent !.
In a country that place so much emphasis on - leverage, links, relationships, recommendations and connections...
Working here in +234 for over 20 years as a Reg. Nurse...especially in the Government space...or a serious MDA/NGO...
.... There is no reason you shouldn't have a handful of persons who can point to your leverage ... in their placements shaa (in different sectors).
... Retiring without helping someone get a placement through your recommendation is diabolical.
P.S: Just my random thought shaa.....People can think otherwise
Do we really have to pretend that this generation won’t change the toxicity in the profession
Talmabout toxic matrons but you’re an SNO and you can’t even keep shut and give your colleagues grace
LRT
Some people will just wake up early in the morning and choose to throw shades at their colleagues. Meanwhile they expect grace and professionalism from everyone else for themselves
@NscDestiny It is actually
3 years ago during internship, statements like that might have been said about me esp in my children ward rotation cuz I had issues with the drug calculations but I had to work on it and read about it
Making such statements here on X is just to shallow
