@JaykhatriDev Sit wit discomfort first & dn go talk to users; understand wht they do instead. You’re not building for urself. Buildin for thm. I learned this the hard way in 2017 building chatbots. We were so excited about it ; was new and so much fun. Bt excitement doesn’t equal usefulness.
building in 2026 means:
shipping product
figuring out distribution
learning attribution
talking to users
repeating everything
currently deep in the “how do apps track what drives installs?” rabbit hole
what are you building these days?
@JaykhatriDev Hi! I’m Nitya. building https://t.co/hcMd2GvJL9 .. a super simple tool for app attribution and referrals (that works for both web & mobile).
Ever had an idea that felt too complicated to explain in the moment?
And then, months later you see it living naturally in someone else’s product.
That moment is strangely comforting… and just a little frustrating. Somewhere between validation & hmm.
@AdamFard_ After 12 years designing B2B dashboards, AI tools & consumer apps, I’m now building something of my own:
https://t.co/hcMd2GvJL9 … a simple way for apps to understand
→ where installs come from
→ which referrals actually work
→ what drives real growth
@hirvesh@Habit_Pixel such a cool coincidence, I've d app on my phone. As a runner, I'v been lookin for tools to help me stay consistent with my trainin. Hven’t fully explored it yet, bt definitely going to dive in properly this weekend. Really looking forward to it, thanks for building so thoughtful!
@1Umairshaikh I’m Nitya. Currently building https://t.co/hcMd2GvJL9 a dead simple tool for web and mobile app attribution and referrals.
Happy to connect with other fellow builders here.
@Jacobsklug@Lovable Nice clean stack! I'm building LinkTrace, a simple tool for mobile& web app attribution & referrals. a few agencies & indie teams hve been usin it in projects/ it gives install + sign-up tracking.. Wud be great to have you try it too for some early feedback from folks like u..
@DnuLkjkjh The main idea is still around the unique campaign tokens + deferred deep links for the instant match on first open. Fingerprinting is just a fallback when the token ping doesn’t fire (rare edge cases like delayed opens).
Hey X 👋
I’m a designer for the last 12 years. Have shipped B2B dashboards, B2C apps, edTech platforms, social products, and a bunch of AI SaaS tools.
Now I’m finally building something of my own: LinkTrace a dead-simple, privacy-first tool for mobile app attribution & referrals.
@DnuLkjkjh We actually haven’t fully ditched fingerprinting; we use a super-light, privacy-safe version (hashed device signals + consent-gated, no persistent IDs across apps, fully ATT/GDPR compliant).
If you’re wrestling with attribution, app install tracking, referral performance, or tryna boost sign-ups w/o burning cash; I’d genuinely love to hear your story. Reply, quote, or DM me!
