Took it a step further. Here's every single 1-year growth period ever (within the EIA 861 dataset), for all utilities.

Same result. Demand growth within a 12 month period has never meaningfully correlated with price growth within that same 12 month period.

Things to do next:

1) could demand growth in one year lead to price growth in the following year(s)?

2) what about 5 year periods

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) officially reauthorized the operating license for the Palisades Nuclear Plant—the first time in U.S. history a previously shutdown nuclear facility has been approved for restart.
