.@nosuchthing Fish has been around so long that, given the events going on in the US today, it’s extremely weird re-listening to episodes 104-142 and watching NSTATN on YouTube. Anna’s “What are the odds it will happen twice?” is priceless now. 🤣
@Schreiberland For reference, Rick Moranis’ wife, Ann Belsky, was diagnosed with liver cancer in 1990, died in 1991. He retired to be a full-time father to their children.

@SakuraNoSeirei If I worked at The Onion and was in any way responsible for approving headlines and such I’d fight hard to get this in the amicus brief they’re sending to SCOTUS; this could be the exact visual representation of “satire” in all dictionaries that also have pictures.

@johngreen Having a “Googling Strangers” + “Viral Meningitis” + “Sycamore Trees” kind of Sat. morning. Why share? Because atm you’re the only one who will understand what that means. @kirabug will soon. Pinball tourney in an hour so hopefully looking up. #AnthropoceneReviewed
@mattlavine@lesbianfood (2/2) Voluntarily give 1 jawn to guard as token of friendship: +1 to Charisma and Defense for 24 real-world hours. Also, make PC use menu / ordering computer interface to order. This becomes a tutorial about how all cooking / tinkering / etc. works.
@kirabug#armChairGameDesign
@mattlavine@lesbianfood (1/2) Secret Add-on Side-Quest: obtain 3 jawn by conversing with Wawa customers and staff. Said NPCs explain “jawn” to PC.
PC returns to guard: delivers hoagies. If 3 jawn obtained and meaning of “jawn” fully learned, add additional conversation re: jawn with guard.
@kirabug
@GeraintWorks I always assume I’m over-sharing (it’s one of my two ADHD love languages).
I find that, in general, the other person would like to care, but I’ve either gone way into the weeds on a shared topic, or I I’m over-sharing in a topic the other person has no working knowledge about.
@flybyjerry Might be the most underrated RPG, if not of all time, then certainly in Nintendo’s history. There absolutely not only needs to be a sequel, but re-make/updates to Switch for the first two. Would buy in a heartbeat.
@flybyjerry Totally willing to play through a 100+ hour walking simulator, but there better be a SHIT-TON of expository content. I want deep, meaningful, CONNECTED character backstories, fully fleshed out world lore…
ex.: Octopath Traveller was bad - none of the exposition tied together.
@usuallymarshall@kirabug Irony: I have practically the exact same symptoms right now that I had in March, 2020. Instant Home COVID test says no, NOT COVID.
But apparently there’s a nasty cold ALSO going around (again, ironically, just like March 2020).
@azimuthex@seh Oh holy gods… Haven’t played BRE since the early 90’s?
Would like to, but have a lot of life / health stuff going on. Thank you for the invitation but must pass.
How often between resets?
@janedouglas Kind of like a certain part of the Bayeux Tapastry where they just cram in the lower half, and their hand, of someone’s body in the top margin so that they can depict proper 4-person carrying technique for something the instructions clearly called out needing 4 people to carry?
@rwerkh@ScottMorrisonMP@Dom_Perrottet@abcnews “…cancels Christmas for <group>…”
….🤦🏼♂️ That’s not how that works. THATS NOT HOW ANY OF THAT WORKS. Unless you’re specifically speaking about the dead people. Or your version of Christmas is a secular materialistic wet dream.
Oh, right - ABC.

@rwerkh@nkrishnaswami Also, if I remember math theory correctly, if Sisyphus shows up at the hotel at the same time as a tour bus with an infinite number of tourists who also each want a room, Sisyphus may find himself without a room, making him sad. @kirabug
@rwerkh@nkrishnaswami Oh…. See, I took it as read that since the ship should be docked somewhere at roughly sea level Sisyphus would be happy to be diverted, enjoying an extremely rare instance of getting to roll his boulder downhill for a change. @kirabug
@sblackmoore Ugh. Can someone bring me the ghost of Douglas Adams to deal with this shit, please?…… Oh, right, he was an atheist. Never mind! I’ll just live in ignorance. #bureaucracy#infocom@kirabug
