You are denying yourself joy and a source of immense personal & national pride, bhut’wam. Give it a shot & remember that aboMampimpi and others also grew up with immense hardship in hoods & villages. They need your support too. Angilwi. Just want to make your joy bigger ♥️🤗
.@DIRCO_ZA: "As a sovereign nation, 🇿🇦 pursues an independent foreign policy firmly anchored in the principle of non-alignment. Non-alignment must not be conflated with neutrality. We refuse to be drawn into geopolitical contestations or be pressured to take sides. We note the inherent contradiction in being publicly scrutinised for engaging Iran & China, the very same states with which the United States itself continues to actively interact".
I suspect you have us confused with your home country, Nigeria. We have challenges yes, but we are cruising nicely here, our government intervened to ensure national self-reliance to close the shortfall occasioned by withdrawal of PEPFAR funding. The supply of life-saving ARV drugs to most patients remains secure despite the withdrawal.
Please do pay attention to your own shortcomings before throwing nonexistent stones at South Africa
Out of respect and diplomatic protocol, we don’t make comments on South Africa’s relations with other countries. Likewise, we oppose envoys of other countries publicly commenting on relations between China and South Africa.
THE KAROO 🇿🇦❤️🇿🇦
South Africa has a diverse agricultural sector, from grains, oilseeds, sugarcane, vegetables, fruits, livestock, and more. In appreciation of the sector's diversity, we decided to place some emphasis on the Karoo region in this offering. Why is this important? Consider the distribution of South Africa’s agricultural land and its land potential. Commercial agriculture typically takes place on freehold land in South Africa. Freehold (private title deeds) farmland makes up 77.5 million hectares of South Africa’s surface area – or roughly 63%. Of this farmland area, 44.5 million hectares (or 57%) are in the semi-arid Karoo and the Kalahari. It is here that extensive livestock production takes place (mutton, lamb, wool, mohair and cattle – largely in the Kalahari). For this reason, rainfall, the timing of rainfall, and the quality of natural grazing are critical to the financial well-being of farmers in this vast part of South Africa.
The Karoo and Kalahari do get periods of good rainfall. Still, generally, farming in these areas must cope with regular droughts and the resulting poor grazing, leading to financial hardship for farmers. However, this year, as in much of South Africa, has brought favourable rainfall to the Kalahari, where the Kuruman River has begun to flow after being dry for many years. In the Karoo region, we saw pictures of excessive rainfall in the Koup region (Beaufort-West, Laingsburg), in the Graaff-Reinet and Middelburg area, while the upper Karoo from Britstown to Carnarvon and Victoria-West has also been blessed with record rainfall. Even the Western regions past Williston, to Brandvlei and Sutherland, did not miss out, although rainfall totals are much lower.
@USAmbRSA But the US has good relations with China..POTUS says it proudly that he has very good relations with President Xi...USA just did a deal with Iran and the Iranians will be buying agricultural products from American farmers..why can't RSA do it also??
A lot of Indians own filling stations and car dealerships and constantly need legal advice, they won't brief Palesa with her 10 degrees from Oxford , they will search for Abdul even if he is in Botswana for the next three months, it's in their community interest to do so .
Only "Black" people believe in this meritocratic garbage of quantifying value in society through certification , what's important is institutions which your own people control

I spent Father’s day doing what truly matters. A beautiful time spent with my family, filled with joy, love and precious moments.
To all fathers, may we never take these priceless moments for granted. Stay blessed.

[WATCH] Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala sent a video showing cocaine being weighed to Medicare24 CEO Mike van Wyk.
Van Wyk was meant to testify today, but his appearance was postponed due to ill health.
The commission proceeded without him. He’ll respond at a later stage. @JusstAlpha
Let me educate you not with anger, but with truth. You assume South Africans lack exposure. You assume we believe other African countries are poor and undeveloped. That is not the case. We know the reality. We know Nigeria has oil. We know Ghana has gold. We know Kenya has tech. We know Botswana has diamonds. We know Zambia has copper. We know Zimbabwe has platinum and lithium. We know the DRC sits on $24 trillion in minerals. We know Africa is rich.
But here is what you do not understand, wealth beneath the ground does not translate to prosperity above it. You can have all the minerals in the world but if your leaders steal, your constitutions hostile towards humans rights, if your institutions are corrupt, if your people are divided by tribe, if your healthcare collapses, if your schools crumble, if your youth flee then you are poor. Not in resources. In governance. In accountability. In dignity.
We do not look down on Africa. We look at the mirror Africa refuses to face. We see our own flaws corruption, unemployment, crime and we fight them. We protest. We vote. We demand better. That is what makes us different. We do not run. We stay. We build. We hold our leaders accountable, even when it hurts.
You say we lack exposure. But we see you. We see your leaders flying overseas to get treated, some in our country to get medical treatment, while your children starve. We see your ports exporting raw minerals while your people have no jobs. We are not blind. We are not ignorant. We are honest.
The difference between South Africa and many other African countries is not wealth. It is the willingness to confront failure. We own ours. You run from yours. That is not a lack of exposure. That is a lack of accountability. And until you fix that, no mineral, no resource, no tweet will save you. Go home. Fix your house. Then talk to us about exposure.
More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.
Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi - who is now heading the national organised crime task team - has confirmed that he is en route to a Pretoria police station to also meet IDAC.
This comes after Crime Intelligence head Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo was apparently requested by IDAC investigators to “carry an overnight bag” and meet them there by 3pm.
Khumalo and the team yesterday received intelligence suggesting that IDAC was fighting back over rumours of the impending arrest of its head Adv Andrea Johnson.
The information indicated that Khumalo and Mkhwanazi would be targeted to disable them from pursuing any investigations to that end.
Although Mkhwanazi has not been requested to meet the investigators yet, he believes the move with Khumalo gives credence to the tip-off.
@pule_jones will bring you the details on @eNCA #DStv403.
Shakira’s performance today was nothing short of legendary. The aura, the moves, the vocals, she turned the opening ceremony into her own concert. Simply epic.
Meet Emmanuel Mudau, a self-taught sheep and goat breeder from Venda, Limpopo.
In 2009, he made a life-changing decision: he quit his job as a furniture store sales representative and used his pension payout to buy just 3 goats from a local farmer.
A year later, he invested in 10 Damara sheep.
Today, he owns hundreds of sheep and goats and has built his own breeding brand, Mathuba Genetics..🐐🐑
Got my glasses from lensmart the other day. It was like 800pula with all the nice stuff (photochromic, anti reflective & anti scratch). If you are broke like me, they are surely the go to when it comes to cheap glasses.
