@skwangwaton A CEO isn’t an investor but rather an employee doing a job that even a local can do. We have banks, telecos etc led by locals. So don’t confuse an employee with an investor. Even if it was an investor the laws of our country are supreme

I always say they should have kept the diamond mining co under expat management at CEO and GM level. Then Batswana can manage from there downward. Motswana always comes with a, “what’s in it FOR ME?” stance in these positions. And that comes with a lot of mismanagement imo 🫠.

@gare_nca I was happy to experience working in Botswana. I am grateful for the experience. Now i can no longer just complain from outside but with a lived experience. I think it’s worth it for every Motswana to work for Govy at some out even as an intern or something.

Wanted to move an unused safe to create a workstation for our idling officers. A month later, procurement is still sending us from pillar to post🤣. No urgency! Glad I don’t see myself staying in govy for long 😂. The culture isn’t for me. I like fast work culture
