There is a solution to all of this conference dominance debate. I believe this would also fix the flaws with the playoff selection. Dedicate one week out of the year to have cross conference matchups similar to how we do for basketball. Ex. All SEC play All ACC

This takes away a cupcake game and actually gives the playoff committee data to judge based on conference strength each year rotate the conference match-ups every year. Ex year 2 SEC vs Big 10 Acc vs Big 12
