@MartinSLewis Even worse, the prices in Q2 for new customers don't materially change vs Q1. It's frustrating when your renewals fall in Feb/Mar - stuck paying more just due to the time of year.
@MartinSLewis This is a real issue in Q1 each year. They advertise the current price which, by the time the customer switches, might only apply for a short portion of the actual contract. I'd suggest compromising with no rises until after 12 months have past.
@MrReeceballa@MartinSLewis ๐I had a box of chocolates the other day where a serving was 1.3 chocolates. Do they expect us to put part eaten ones back into the box maybe...?๐คท
@MartinSLewis I am surprised how definitive the vote is. If everyone feels this way, why exactly are there enough young adults with accounts for this to be a wide ranging issue?๐คท
@Claire_Edberg@MartinSLewis Maybe check out variable direct debit if your objection is to being in credit. Tariff was still at the discounted DD rate but DD is taken after a bill - for the bill value, not based on 1/12th of estimated yearly costs. Only problem, they took bills qtrly so was lumpy payments.
@Herofthewords@medicalinguist I've had similar. Works out only ยฃ26pa better off to exit so staying where I am in case of unexpected changes to scheme. Already lost the extra money in months prior to guarantee due to fixing before gov plan announced, so figure may as well.
@MartinSLewis British Gas. No information sent. Only know PPU has reduced to PG as I manually checked tariff a few days before PG became effective. Was very frustrating not knowing what was going to happen, and then to find out it had been decided and I wasn't informed is disappointing.
@Colin39046430 Last I heard ofgem where changing it so the supplier you switch to will pay most of their profit from you to your old supplier. So that one would be a non-starter.
@Kptr_EU@MartinSLewis My tariff communications recently were wrong. Stated in email as pre April rates but are actually post April. Customer services said its just the auto template has been updated early. Just make sure to check your bill is right when you get them - they don't always match.
@MartinSLewis I have been told that I can receive the DD discount at British Gas by paying via DD but based on bills issued when I supply readings, rather than a set monthly amount. Whether this works out to be correct is yet to be seen, as everything else since my SoLR switch as gone wrong.
@BBCR1 https://t.co/U8tf1x685Q - cardboard tents are a potential, partial solution. Not as perfect as people reusing their tents for years but better than the current scenario.
@clairexxx@BeckyJCrump@AldiUK Everyone I know who has tried it at least likes it, even if they're not big Gin drinkers. Give it a try if you get the chance (it keeps selling out in my area).
@RibenaUK very disappointed today. Just opened a new bottle of ribena and it doesn't taste right. Looks like you've added sweeteners to your non-diet range without clearly showing there has been a change on the front of the label. Now have a 1.5L bottle I can't drink.
